Search Method: Provincial and Supreme Civil - By Party Name

Searches cases for the name provided. A party name can be an individual or organization or both. If you selected both, the system will search the database for any name that matches the criteria you provided. See also Search Tips


Individual Search

Screen Label Description
Last Name — Mandatory You must specify all or part of a name.

First Name — Optional Allows you to specify all or part of a first name. If you are not sure of the first name or the spelling of the first name it is best to leave this field blank in order to maximize the results returned.
Location — Optional This references the registry location where the case is currently registered/filed. If you know the location, you should select from the drop down list of available locations. If you are unsure of the location then leave the field blank to represent "ALL".

Note: Cases may move between locations.
Level — Optional This references the level of court for the case filing — Supreme or Provincial. If you are unsure of the level then leave the field blank to represent "ALL".
Class — Optional This references the classification of case filing. For example, Civil General, Motor Vehicle, Probate etc.. You can select a class based on the drop down list provided. If you are unsure of the class then leave the field blank to represent "ALL".
Date Filed Opened — From — To - Optional This allows you to specify a date range in which the case file was initiated. The format is ddmthyear. For example, 25DEC2003.

If you are unsure of the specific date but suspect that it is within a certain range, then it is best to enter a date range in order to minimize the results that are returned.

Organizational Search

Organization Name — Mandatory You must specify all or part of the beginning of the organization's name.

Location — Optional This references the registry location where the case is currently registered/filed. If you know the location, you should select from the drop down list of available locations. If you are unsure of the location then leave the field blank to represent "ALL".

Level — Optional This references the level of court for the case filing — Supreme or Provincial. If you are unsure of the level then leave the field blank to represent "ALL".
